It almost doesn't seem right that these gloves are made of spandex. That just doesn't sound durable. However with these gloves, they mostly made of stout nylon where it counts along with a reinforced thumb and saddle.
Carhartt Men's The Fixer Spandex Work Glove with Water Repellant Palm
These gloves are a tight fit. With my non huge hands, I ordered a large and it was right on par, with a little slack in the finger tip. I'd recommend ordering a size up from what you usually wear. Word to the wise, these are not winter gloves by any means, I usually take two sets of gloves for cold weather camping --a buckskin set for when I'm sitting around, and then these for when I need to get stuff done. On cold weather hikes, these Carhartt gloves are hard to beat. You don't want anything super thick when you're hiking up the mountain, and I think these provide the perfect amount of protection in that setting. I'd say that generally, they are good down to about freezing if you are just sitting around. Anything colder and you'll want something that is lined.
Overall, you can't go wrong with these thin and flexible, yet also durable 'Fixer' gloves.
