It's always good to keep a well stocked tool arsenal when camping. Either in the back country off trail, or right by your car, I always try to keep what I need in arms reach. Having a good saw is one of those indispensable items in my pack. On the few times that I've forgotten to pack one, I've found myself trying snap branches or look foolish swinging a hand axe 300 times (exaggeration) just to get through some decent wood. The Hunter Specialties Folding Saw fits the bill for me by first off having a great feel in the hand while using it. I've used it so many times it's hard to count and it takes care of small/medium branches pretty quickly.
This guy clocks in at less than 10 ounces, so it feels light, but somehow has a confidence about it by being fairly sturdy for the size. The locking blade is 7.25" long, which is long enough to go through anything that you would feel like using this to cut. Even if it was say, 10" long, I don't think I would be cutting a lot of larger diameter wood. I have been using my saw for about 2.5 years now and I'm finally thinking that it'll need a good sharpening. I think that is pretty decent durability considering I camp at least 6 times and year and use this every time. With saws like this, you'll pretty much only want to use it on the pull stroke, even though it can cut when pushing. This is to prevent blade binding.

For the money, this saw is going to be hard to beat. I know there are more expensive saws on the market, and many of my friends own these. Hell, I will probably put up a review of a few of them over time. I had a few people tell me to warn others that this thing is really sharp. It folds up well, sure, but just be forewarned if you have kids around that like to play around with tools. This will also do well in a pinch for home improvement projects. I don't have first hand knowledge, but it's a well known secret in my circle that this saw does really well at cutting drywall.
